OTRO BAUTISMO MAS!!! Week 93

On Saturday we had the baptism of Oriana! It was a big Holiday here in Argentina (May 25th) so there wasn't as many members that showed up as we would have hoped. But there were about 20 people there in total of a branch of like 45 so not too bad! I had the chance to be the one to baptize her! She was super happy to be baptized and she was confirmed the next day. She loves reading the Book of Mormon and saying prayers and it makes her so happy. Her older Brother Facundo that got baptized a few months back also received the Aaronic priesthood this week! So it was a super big day for them both! Now we are trying to work with with the rest of the family!
I also went to San Antonio Oeste again to do a baptism interview over there. It's always fun going there because they have the beach and a super good place to eat. My companion lost his ID so he couldn't travel with me so I went with Elder Luque. I did another baptism interview in the other area in Viedma as well. Baptismal interviews are some of the most spiritual parts of my mission! I Love it when the spirit is super strong and you just know they are ready to be baptized.
We have been teaching a girl named Solana that has been going to the english connect class I help teach. We are going to have a family home evening with her and her family this week. We are still trying to reach her goal of Baptism for June 15th!
We might be going to Bahia this week for a zone conference but we aren't sure if we can because my companion doesn't  have an ID. So we are trying to figure that out haha.
I KNOW this church is true! I love it. I know Christ lives and loves us. I know the book of mormon is true and if we read it every day we will feel the spirit and make better decisions. Choose the right!! Love you all! Hope you all had a good Memorial Day!

She Passed!! Week 92

Hi Family and Friends,

This week went by SOOO fast! We had a meeting in Bahia with president and we were there from Monday to Wednesday. It was really good and we talked about how we can be better leaders and help our “sheep” more. I also got to visit a few people I taught and baptized in Bahia!! It was so awesome I love them so much! I also saw a few members there as well!
We had another english class this week and there is this girl that goes that is 14 and her mom is a member but she isn't. So after the class we asked her if we could talk for a second and we taught all of lesson 1! We put a baptism date with her for June 15th (Shays Bday). Her name is Solana and we have a Family Home Evening with her and her fam tonight at 7:30!  It's gonna be awesome!
We also had the baptismal interview of Oriana this week and she passed! She's gonna be getting baptized this Saturday (May 25th)! So this week we are gonna be planning and inviting everyone to go!
I have been working on my Spanish a ton with my companion. I want to come home sounding like an argentine hahaha We've been doing lots of language study every night.
I'm in 3rd Nephi in the book of mormon right now and I love it! 3rd Nephi definitely is one of my favorite books. I still haven't reached chapter 11 this time around, but it's super interesting to study what it is like and how the people act right before the coming of Christ. It makes me think of how I want to be ready for when He comes again. Because we don't know when. we need to always be ready. I've been reflecting on the things I need to do better and trying to make changes no matter how big or small they might be! I love the atonement of Jesus Christ and everything He did for me. The church is true and The atonement really does heal!! Love you all!

Finally!! Week 91

Dear Family and Friends,

I finally got an Argentine comp! His name is Elder Da Matta and he's awesome. This transfer is gonna be so fun! Such a cool and funny guy!

This week I saw so many miracles! On Sunday a lady who hasn't been to church for 11 years decided to show up to church and said she wants to get activated again. Her daughter is 16 and hasn't been baptized. So we were like umm awesome when can we pass by! Golden!! Also we confirmed the baptism that we are going to have on the 25th! So we are really excited for Orianna to be baptized!

Tonight I leave for Bahia blanca for a leadership meeting. I will be there until Wednesday morning. I love being able to see everyone there and learn new stuff from president! It's the best! I'm gonna try to stop by some of the people I taught when I'm over there.

We also found a family this week that the parents were baptized a long time ago and there kids aren't baptized! They are like 12 14 and 16 years old! So we are going to be working with them a lot this week!

I'm so grateful to be here in the mission! All my mission buddies are home now and they are all telling me how much they miss it. So I'm trying to make these next few months some of the best! I just  love to be able to see the miracles that occur every single day in the work. Love you all so much! Remember to always read your scriptures and say your prayers! Hope you all have an amazing week!

Transfers!! Week 90

What's up! We had transfers this week! My companion Elder Norton is leaving and I am staying here! I don't know who my companion is going to be but I'm excited to have another transfer here. Word on the street is that Elder DaMata is my companion and I hope it's true because he's an Argentine and I wanna be with an Argentine my last couple of transfers to speak pure castellano!

This week we got to go to all of the areas in the zone because I had to pay rents for everyone's houses! So we got to go to the beach again! We took lots of pics and it was fun haha we are allowed to go to the beach now that it's the winter schedule!

We gave a few lessons to Facundo as well. He is a recent convert that is going to receive the priesthood in a week or so. We are also still teaching his little sister as well that is going to get baptized this month! We helped them again with their work in their store before church on Sunday so they could go with us.

I'm super excited to start this transfer off again! I always love the beginning of the transfer because it's always super exciting to work and try to find people to teach and baptize.

I know this church is true and I know that God lives and loves us! I'm so thankful that I'm able to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ every day with people and see how it can help them. It's so amazing! Love you all hope you have a great week!
