GOD LOVES ME: Week 76..Part 2

I found the camera! ;) GOD LOVES ME!

Clutch: Week 76

This week was great! We are teaching so many people that are progressing! Morena (14 years old), Franco and Brenda (a married couple who are about 28 years old) and Alejandro (30 years old) are all progressing a ton! I think they will all get baptized this month (February). We were super sad because nobody was able to make it to church this week, but they are all going next week!
Also a miracle happened! I don't know if it's technically allowed though so don't judge us because we had permission from the bishop haha. Agustina didn't get confirmed last week because she missed church on accident. And this week she didn't show up either and we were super sad. And when we were leaving church, we walked out of the building and see Agustina running to us. she was SOOO sad that she missed church again cuz nobody woke her up (she's 9) so she ran to church even though it was over. The bishop was still there so we asked him if we could do the confirmation with him in his office and he said yes so I got to confirm her right there! It was a super cool experience and she was way happy after! She was clutch haha
I also gave a talk at church on Sunday about how to obtain exaltation (it was my assigned topic) so I just talked about the doctrine of Christ and Covenants and stuff. It went good I think!
Monday we had divisions in Acha (a little town 2 hours away) and I lost my camera on the bus ride there :( so hopefully I get another miracle this week haha pray for me!
Funny Story:
The Hermanas from Toay called us freaking out because their kitchen was on fire. So me and my comp rushed over there and when we showed up they were sitting outside of their house. And we go look inside and there is this blueish powder EVERYWHERE. They used a fire extinguisher haha and it COVERED the house in this blue powder stuff. I thought it was a foam inside those things but i guess its powder. Who knew haha. So we spend the next couple hours cleaning their house and it barely made a dent haha their house is still super dirty and their kitchen wall is burnt. They have to move out this month… haha
Love you all! Have a great week!

3 Awesome Baptisms!! The most uncomfortable thing ever...Week 75

Dear Family and Friends,

I had such a good week!
On Pday we had house inspections with the Bentleys (the married couple missionaries in our mission) and so we cleaned with them for a while. Then we wrote our weekly emails and went to subway and then we went home and worked!
On Tuesday we had to go to a little pueblo named Toay to pay rent and clean mold of the hermanas walls. (I had to do to it all cuz my comp couldn't reach where the mold was haha) don't worry the hermanas were out working while we were cleaning it haha. After that we contacted and visited Morena Elias who has started reading the Book of Mormon and wants to get baptized in February! And then we passed by Franco and Brenda who are also going to be preparing to get baptized next month! They are a young MARRIED couple which is a miracle.
On Wednesday we had the Baptism interviews of Julio, Agustina, and Abril! And they all passed of course. They are all so excited for their baptisms and they have been reading the book of Mormon together! We also talked to Alejandro (Abrils dad who isn't a member and went to church last week) and he wants to hear the lessons!
On Saturday we had the 3 baptisms!! We had about 25 people that went but only 2 active members went and they were from another ward haha. Our ward sucks. The bishop and his counselors “couldn't go” so we had elders from another ward come to preside and direct the meeting haha. President Hymas was mad at our members cuz we invited EVERYONE so many times and we even called the stake president when he was in a meeting with pres Hymas and said nobody can preside our meeting. So Pres Hymas got mad at the members a little. It was good. But SOOO many non members and less actives went! So it was good. I baptized Julio and my comp Baptized Agustina and Abril.
Sunday was happy and sad cuz only Abril and Julio could go to the confirmations. Agustina is going to be confirmed next sunday though! And then me and my comp also did a big training for all of the quorum presidencies and relief society presidencies in the stake. And the whole stake presidency went too. So it was kinda nerve racking but it was really good. We talked about what our goals as missionaries are and plans of how we as missionaries are gonna work with the members but also things that we need from them too. We made a powerpoint and everything haha.
The church is so true!! I LOVE testifying of Jesus Christ and that the basic principles that he taught us can help EVERYONE no matter what situation they have in life. LOVE YOU ALL!!! Have a great week!
Funny Story:
A group of transgender “women” (men) started whistling and blowing kisses at me and my comp and telling us to go over to them. It was the most uncomfortable thing ever….
