EL Mundial ! Week 45

ARGENTINA LOST :((( (Of course you know - If you're following the World Cup) Everyone here is so mad that Argentina lost last week to Croatia. They are saying that everything is rigged hahah. But whatevs they still have a chance if they can beat Nigeria somehow. I want them to win but it's kinda funny how MAD they were when Argentina Lost. When they are playing there is NOBODY in the streets. Literally not a single person or car or anything. Its crazy. It is really hard to contact anyone. We may have been in an investigators house for a little bit of it and saw some of the game hahah
This week was FULL of amazing lessons and Family Home Evenings!! We made empanadas and homemade milanesas with The Ugarte Family and then we talked about the Plan of Salvation. They are so awesome!! Then we had a super spiritual lesson with Luciano about the Word of Wisdom and challenged him to stop smoking. He is is trying his hardest to stop right now! Keep him in ur prayers please :)
This is the last week of president cifuentes!! So crazy! I'm really gonna miss him :( but i'm really excited to see the ideas of President Hymas and see how he runs the mission! I love this mission and i KNOW the church is true!! Les amo mucho!!

I Got Pelted By A Huge Rock...And It Hurt!!! Week 44

This week was so awesome!! On P-day we made tacos again with the ZLs. Super good of course because we had a real Mexican making them. On Thursday We had our last conference with President Cifuentes. And it was also the last time we will be seeing him. Super sad. They leave in about 2 weeks. It's gonna be super weird to have a new mission president. I love President Cifuentes so much he's so awesome. We already have a reunion trip planned. December 2019 they are gonna pay for everyone to go to Disneyworld and the hotels and food. And he wants us to bring our family!! So let's just say President Cifuentes is kinda rich ha haha. I'm sure our new president will be just as great!

We had a few more amazing lessons with Luciano and Romina. We had a NDH or FHE with them and they taught us how to make torta fritas. SOO good. With dulce de leche they are super rico. Me and Elder Gonzalez fasted that they would come to church and they showed up!! It was awesome. July 7th is the date he wants to be baptized. They really want to be sealed to their baby Alma that passed away. The Plan of Salvation is the best!!!

Funny story:
We were walking to a lunch and this car flies by and a huge rock pelts me in the thigh. Like it's a rock the size of my fist probably but it was coming fast. Now I have a huge bruise on my leg haha We aren't sure if someone threw it or if it came from the tire or something. But for lunch we had a super good asado so I am fine haha.

Saying goodbye to President and Sister Cifuentes

Un Uruguayo! Week 43

This week was awesome!!! On Tuesday and Wednesday I was on divisions with the Zone Leaders because I was companionless.  We waited in the bus terminal for like 12 hours so that was fun… not…
On Wednesday we went to the mission office at 8am to go pick up my new son! (Translation: son =The new missionary he would be training) We all ate breakfast together (not knowing who our sons were yet) and then we split up and did training. We got trained to be a trainer and the greenies got trained to be missionaries basically. It was really good! Then we met back up to see who our sons were gonna be. It was this PowerPoint thing where my face went up on the screen so I ran to the front, and then they put my son's face up and everyone cheers and we hug take pics and sit down. It was fun haha my son is named Elder Gonzalez from MonteVideo Uruguay!!! He's 19. He's super cool. He wants to work and be obedient so I'm happy! I love being able to only speak Spanish. It's the first Latino comp have and it's been helping me a ton! We got right to work and taught tons of lessons and contacted a bunch! We had an AMAZING lesson with Luciano who committed to baptism on July 7th!! We are super excited for him. He has been praying and reading the Book of Mormon every single day which is awesome! We have a few lessons set up with him this week so keep him in your prayers please :)
Love you all!! I have really been strengthening my testimony of the Book of Mormon and prayer this week. I was stressed about training and everything and so I just took time to pray and read the Book of Mormon and i felt SOOO much better. It really does bring peace and Joy in my life. Have a great week!!

Call Me Papi ! Week 42

This week has been absolutely crazy. Like in a hectic type of way. We had our District meeting so Elder Hansen and Pareira came and slept over at our house and did divisiones for a day. I went with Elder Hansen from Salt Lake. They are from a pueblo that is 3 hours away. Then the next day 3 more elders came and slept at our house because there was a leadership meeting in Bahia. So then we did divisiones again with them haha. I went with an Argentino named Elder Da Mata. He was dope! We visited basically all of our investigators.

On Friday we did this activity in the Park with both zones in Bahia Blanca. We all met at a park and set up all these stands and then we all just split up and went and contacted everyone in the park and brought them over to show them the stands. It was super fun! I went with elder Griffith who is like my best friend now and we got a few really good contacts. It was a super fun night. Then we all met at the church and had a surprise birthday party for one of the Hermanas. We had Pizza and cake. It was dope too.
TODAY IS TRANSFERS!!! I'm staying in my area but I'm training this transfer!! I'm gonna be a dad!! I don't go and get my Kid until Wednesday so i don't know if he is Latino or Yanqui (Yankee). I'm so excited though!! This is going to be a very fun / interesting transfer haha.
I've recently been focusing on studying the Book of Mormon more than anything else and i have felt the spirit so much stronger this past week. I just read Alma chapter 5 which is one of my favorite chapters in the Book of Mormon. I love this church so much and I KNOW that it is true! Love you all hope you have a great week!
