It's a Win Win // Last Email EVER: Week 101

This has been an amazing week. In the last email I think I mentioned that some people contacted us in the street. Well this week we had a lesson with Fernando (the other one that we didn't already pass by). It was our first lesson with him and we got in and sat down and chatted casually for a second. Then he got up from his seat, pulled out a book of mormon and 3 of our pamphlets and said “I took some lessons from the missionaries a couple years back, but I wasn't ready to hear the gospel then. Now I'm ready and I want to know more.” we were like what is going on this never happens!! Such an amazing miracle! We have another lesson with him this week! He even went to church this past Sunday! I'm bummed I'm not going to be here to see him progress more but I'm excited to hear what happens!

This week Elder Villar is coming so on Thursday and Friday we have meetings in Bahia. So I'm going to Bahia Wednesday night and staying there until I finish my mission. SO I only have 2 more days in my own area. CRAZY!! I'm super excited to hear from a general authority and receive some personal revelation!

Well folks this is officially my last weekly letter home. Next week we have pday with President and Hermana Hymas  and I don't think we have time to write or call home. Time has honestly gone by too fast.. The mission really has been the best 2 years. Preaching the Gospel to those who need and want to apply it in their lives. Over these past couple of years I've really been able to develop a relationship with my Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ. I know that they live and love us so much. I'm so grateful for EVERY experience that I've had here. The success and the rejections, the friends I've made and arguments with companions, every little thing in the mission has helped me come closer to my Savior and get to know Him better. Serving a mission is the best decision I have ever made and I am forever grateful for the time I've had and the people I've met here in Argentina. I think in many ways they have changed my life more than I have changed theirs. I know this church is true. I know Christ lives and atoned for each and every one of us, and I know that our Heavenly Father loves us, knows us personally, and has a PERFECT plan for us. Hold to the Iron Rod! Read your scriptures and say your prayers! Love you all!

Funny Story

Again NOT thaaat funny but since it's my last week we have been saying goodbye to a few people and trying to get some good food appointments as well haha. Our strategy is me saying “Hermano I'm going home next week and I want to learn how to make____ . You make the best ___ and I would love it if you taught me.” And then they get all excited and we get to eat exactly what we want with them and we learn how to make it!! It's a win win!  So this week a member (Hermano Ibañez) taught us how to make Milanesas and they were the best milanesas I've ever had!! I don't know if it was his recipe, or because I was the one who made them. But I tell everyone it's because I made them haha.Tomorrow we are going to make empanadas and on Wednesday an ASADO!!!! I'm super excited! Gonna be a great week!

We had a Flyer Party...Week 100

This week was crazzyyy!!

Tuesday we had a soccer activity in the morning because July 9th is their independence day here and nobody had school! And then there was also a ward activity at night that we went to as well.  We ate some good food and played soccer with the Youth.  One of the youth brought his friend “Nacho” who we are gonna start teaching today! We actually invited them to our p-day later to play some more soccer and then we are gonna have a lesson in the church with him. It should be awesome!

We had like 3 different miracles this week of people coming up to us and asking if we can pass by their house. It was so awesome! 1 of them was a 19 year old kid named Martín that knew missionaries a while back and practiced english with them. So we went to his house to practice english and shared a lesson with him. We explained that every time we go over we are gonna practice english and then share a spiritual thought or lesson and he was super cool with it. I think he will get baptized here in a few weeks! And then that same thing happened with 2 other people but we haven't had the first lesson with them yet. But this week we are gonna have them so i'm really excited!

I'm finishing up the Book of Mormon for the 5th time in my mission! I just started Moroni. And I want to testify that IT IS TRUE!! I have never felt so much peace and happiness as I do when I read that book. I love it! I know that it can help us learn more and come closer to Christ than any other book. If you haven't read it, DO IT! Read it everyday and your life will be so much easier. It's literally the armor of God.

I can't and don't want to believe that I only have a couple more weeks left in the mission.. It's been such an amazing experience to come and preach the gospel to everyone! I have learned so much and I'm so grateful for all the amazing people I've met here! Im looking forward to making these next 2 weeks some of the best and most memorable!!

Love you all! Read your Scriptures and say your prayers!! Have a great week!

Funny Story:

That Tuesday morning soccer activity that I said we set up in the morning was more than just an activity… we invited like 6 kids to play soccer and we said invite your friends to come play too! Turns out the word spreads quick (everyone loves using the churches soccer cement court) because like 45 or 50 kids showed up… and we had a full on tournament it was crazyyyy! I was like a flyer party that gets out of control haha We couldn't believe it. We showed up at like 10:30 and there was like 20 kids there and they just kept coming. We invited them to church and got a few of their addresses and stuff so it was good!

Ping Pong Champ: Week 99

This week has been another week full of Miracles! We have talked to so many people that were just ready to hear the gospel! It's been rough because it's FREEZING cold right now but I honestly feel like the Lord blesses us more when we work in the rain and in the cold. There were some parts of the day that we were ready to throw in the towel basically because we weren't having success and then we found someone amazing that gave us energy to keep looking for more people. It's been a really awesome week!

We also had an awesome lesson with Solana who has been deciding if she wants to be baptized or not. She still isn't too sure but I think she's gonna come around here soon. We have been trying to gain their trust a little more and be friends with them as well because the first few lessons we were pretty straight forward and they were kinda taken back by that. So this week we are gonna have a family home evening with them!

Also we passed by a less active family (familia Quiles) and shared a spiritual thought with them and they went to church this past Sunday! So that was a nice surprise and miracle as well! So we are gonna keep passing by them to help reactivate them.

This week Elder Bastian cooked for us twice which was really good. He worked as a chef for 3 years. He chops an onion in like 4 seconds its ridiculous haha.

I know this church is true. I Know the atonement heals and makes us happy. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I love preaching this Gospel because I get to see how it blesses and bring miracles to the lives of the people we teach! Read your scriptures and say your prayers!! Love you all have a great week!

Funny Story:

Actually it's not that funny. But we had a ward activity of a ping pong competition and there was an Hermano in our ward talking trash on me. I won't mention his name. (hermano Soto) but I beat him in the finals. I'm the Viedma Ping Pong champ.. he played good but not good enough

Miracles in the Rain: Week 98

Whats up fam!

This was a really spiritual week because we had a leadership meeting in Bahia and our Zone conference! So it was full of revelation to what to do better in my area! I got so many good ideas that I'm gonna apply this week!

We found out that Elder Villar is coming my last week of the mission to come speak to us so it will be cool hearing from him before i go! He gave an awesome talk last conference I'm super excited!

It has been really cold and raining a lot lately. But something that I really liked that President told us is that there are Miracles in the Rain. When we show that we are willing to work, Even when it's FREEZING cold and pouring rain, God will bless us and give us miracles! So I'm ready to work in the rain this week!

I know Christ lives. I know He loves and has a plan for all of us. I know This church is true and that this gospel blesses everyone. I know that the atonement of Christ changes lives! Read your scriptures, say your prayers, be kind! Love you all hope you all have a good week!
