An Apostle is Coming!! Week 63

This week was crazy busy! We had our interviews on Tuesday, zone conference on Wednesday, District meeting on Thursday, and divisions on Friday! To say the least, It went by super fast haha.
In the Zone conference we talked about the ways we can better convert ourselves to the Lord's work. We read John 21:5 and talk about what our “fish” were that are holding us back from giving everything to the Lord. And then we talked about being "Preach my Gospel Missionaries" and using PMG in every aspect of our work! I have been trying to study PMG more and more every day and I love it! It's such an inspired book!
When we were on divisions we visited a man named Rodolfo. He has trouble with smoking but he really wants to stop. I asked him if he had faith enough that Heavenly Father would help him stop smoking right now. He said yes. So I asked him for all his cigarettes and he gave them to me! We got on our knees and Rodolfo said a prayer and asked for God's help to stop smoking. SUCH A SPIRITUAL MOMENT!! It was a miracle!
I have seen so many miracles this week just like that one. I KNOW THAT CHRIST LIVES AND HE IS AT THE HEAD OF THIS CHURCH!! The church is so true! Love you guys! Keep reading your scriptures, keep praying, keep growing your testimonies!
Side Note: AN APOSTLE IS COMING! On November 17th we are going to have Elder Gong come speak to us! I'm super excited to be able to hear him!

Happy (Argentine) Mother's Day! Week 62

We worked so dang hard this week. It was super fun but i'm exhausted haha. This week we have the Zone conference and interviews and a district meeting so it will be a little more chill but I'm SUPER STOKED for the new people we found this week. We have been working with future elders (men that can be ordained an elder in the priesthood) and from this we have been finding lots of incomplete families! Reopening an area takes some work but it's been a super good learning experience. I know how to read a map very well now let's just say that.
Yesterday was mother's day here in Argentine so happy mothers day to all the mom's!!
We did divisions with the ZLs. I was with Elder Rodriguez from Uruguay. He's super cool. We found some awesome less active members and they showed up to church on Sunday for the first time in years! So we are gonna keep working with them. I love this work! I have been listening to conference talks in my spare time and I KNOW that the President Nelson is a prophet of God. And all of our church leaders are inspired as well! One of my favorites I listened to this week was President Eyring's because it talks about Faith, Hope and Charity. And he talked about how the Savior knows us and loves us! Love you all so much! Hope you have a good week!
one really cool story is that we talked to this girl about the her personal worth and that she is a daughter of God because she has has an abusive husband and stuff. and we told her She is a daughter of God and He loves her. she was about in tears and said she was gonna start reading the book of mormon and going to church! It was a super spiritual experience.
Have a great week!
Love you all,

Olavarria: Week 61

Elder Mickelson and I got transferred to Olavarría!! It was a 7 hour bus ride from Bahia Blanca. We are opening an area together but we met with the ward and they are awesome. They are gonna help a ton. The Bishop is a stud. We don't have much from the other elders (from 6 months ago when it closed) but we have been working super hard.
We already put 2 baptism dates this week with a lady named Haydee and a man named Hugo! They are really cool but both need to quit smoking and a few other things before they can get baptized. But Haydee said she wants to get baptized!! She even started reading the Book of Mormon. We talked to her yesterday about it!
We had the chance to do an Open House for or stake center here and it was super fun. Us missionaries were the guides and we taught people the basic principles of the gospel. We took turns doing different Shifts. One of the shifts was to go out with our comp and contact people to come to the open house. It was super fun and me and Elder Mickelson actually got some people to go check it out!
The reason I am writing today and not Monday is because we had a huge Service activity with the whole stake. We painted inside and out and did tons of yard work and renovations on an elementary school nearby. It was an awesome experience and tons of people came! The firemen even came to help haha.
Today we are gonna play soccer and chill!! I know this church is true and I know that God Loves all of us! He really does!! Through Him we can do anything!!

1 Nephi 17:50  And I said unto them: If God had commanded me to do all things I could do them. If he should command me that I should say unto this water, be thou earth, it should be earth; and if I should say it, it would be done.

Love, Elder Tanner

Adios... Week 60

TRANSSSSFERSSS!! After 5 transfers (7 months) in Maldonado Bahia Blanca I am getting transfered!! Me and my son are going to open a new area somewhere. So it will be fun to whitewash haha I think we are going to Mar Del Plata but I'm not sure. I had to say goodbye to Elder Gonzalez today. He's one of my best friends from the mission. It was super sad. Adios.
CONFERENCE WEEKEND WAS AMAZING!!!! Dang this was just a spirit filled week and ended with a bang at conference. Our leaders are so inspired and President Nelson IS A TRUE PROPHET OF GOD!!! 12 new temples and 2 hour church!! I think my favorites were the talks from President Nelson, Elder Holland, Elder Rasband, and Brian K Ashton but I loved them all haha. Such an amazing weekend.
Don't have much time but I just wanna say that I KNOW this church is true. Jesus Christ is at the head of it. I hope everyone was able to receive their own personal revelation from the conference to help you get closer to Christ. I definitely did!! LOVE YOU ALL!!!

We got Framed! Week 59

This week we had so many great lessons! We put 3 baptism dates as well! One of our lessons was with Alex Torres and we shared the restoration. He has been looking for a church to join. We had the most spiritual lesson with him, it was awesome! He already started reading the Book of Mormon because he was a reference from a member. He is the best!!
We had divisiones in Terrada and then we got to attend some baptisms from the zone. We went to the biggest baptism I have seen in Argentina. There was 120 people there (a ton for the arg) especially when a ward only has 40 people.
This is the last week before conference!! Remember to spiritually prepare yourselves to be able to feel the spirit!! Have questions in your heart ready to be able to listen and find answers too! Love you all so much. I know this church is true! Every time I bear testimony of it the spirit confirms that to me! Invite a friend to watch conference with you!!

Funny Story:
We were walking home and this lady was yelling at people in front of us and then hiding. So the people were looking back at us thinking we were yelling at them. And then they crossed the street and she kept yelling and hiding. And this family looked at us like we were crazy. And me and my comp were laughing cuz we couldn't believe what was happening so it looked like we were guilty. SHE WAS FRAMING US!! Luckily the family caught her in the act finally. She was like 50 years old I don't know why she was doing that haha. Super weird haha.
