Olavarria: Week 61

Elder Mickelson and I got transferred to Olavarría!! It was a 7 hour bus ride from Bahia Blanca. We are opening an area together but we met with the ward and they are awesome. They are gonna help a ton. The Bishop is a stud. We don't have much from the other elders (from 6 months ago when it closed) but we have been working super hard.
We already put 2 baptism dates this week with a lady named Haydee and a man named Hugo! They are really cool but both need to quit smoking and a few other things before they can get baptized. But Haydee said she wants to get baptized!! She even started reading the Book of Mormon. We talked to her yesterday about it!
We had the chance to do an Open House for or stake center here and it was super fun. Us missionaries were the guides and we taught people the basic principles of the gospel. We took turns doing different Shifts. One of the shifts was to go out with our comp and contact people to come to the open house. It was super fun and me and Elder Mickelson actually got some people to go check it out!
The reason I am writing today and not Monday is because we had a huge Service activity with the whole stake. We painted inside and out and did tons of yard work and renovations on an elementary school nearby. It was an awesome experience and tons of people came! The firemen even came to help haha.
Today we are gonna play soccer and chill!! I know this church is true and I know that God Loves all of us! He really does!! Through Him we can do anything!!

1 Nephi 17:50  And I said unto them: If God had commanded me to do all things I could do them. If he should command me that I should say unto this water, be thou earth, it should be earth; and if I should say it, it would be done.

Love, Elder Tanner
