Stranded in Bahia: Week 94

This week we were in Bahia for a few days. We left on Tuesday afternoon and were there until Thursday night. We had a Zone conference with the Bahia Blanca and Villa Mitre Zones. It's way more fun to go there because when we do the zone conference here in Viedma we are only 8 missionaries instead of like 60. We got stranded in Bahia for an extra day because there was a big national strike on Wednesday and so there wasn't any buses to get home until Thursday.

We had a couple really good lessons this week! One with Natalia and the other with Solana. Natalia is struggling a lot with some family issues and she's trying to stop smoking as well. We told her she just needs to rely on God. We had a really spiritual lesson with her and shared these scriptures with her….

2 Nephi Chapter 4:
34 O Lord, I have trusted in thee, and I will trust in thee forever. I will not put my trust in the arm of flesh; for I know that cursed is he that putteth his trust in the arm of flesh. Yea, cursed is he that putteth his trust in man or maketh flesh his arm.
35 Yea, I know that God will give liberally to him that asketh. Yea, my God will give me, if I ask not amiss; therefore I will lift up my voice unto thee; yea, I will cry unto thee, my God, the rock of my righteousness. Behold, my voice shall forever ascend up unto thee, my rock and mine everlasting God. Amen.

We shared these 2 scriptures with Natalia and she started bawling. Literally there was a puddle of tears on the table haha. but I just love how it says to put our trust in the Lord, and not in the “arm of flesh” , meaning our own personal strength. That with HIS help we can do anything. Because HE is a God that loves us and wants to help us, a God that will answer our prayers in our times of need. We just need to trust in HIM! I Know that Jesus Christ and our Father in Heaven love us. They know EXACTLY what we are going through in our lives. So keep praying and keep showing your faith. They are waiting for you with their arms opened wide! I Love you all, have and amazing week!
