We have been working a lot with the "Light the World" program! We have had 2 Family Home evenings and passing out cards and explaining it to everyone! It's been super cool! Everyone has smartphones so we just watch the video with them right there sometimes. It makes it so easy to contact people with this program!
On Tuesday we had a district meeting and I'm the Zone leader but I'm also acting as a district leader still because we don't have enough DL's in our Zone. So I had my district meeting and it went really well! Our goal as a zone is to have 11 baptism this month (we are 11 companionships so it would be 1 for every companionship). I've never been in a zone that had 11 in one month but I think we might actually do it! We have lots of people here in Santa Rosa.
On Thursday we had to go to General Pico to move the 4 hermanas that are working there. General pico is a little town 3 hours away. So just me and my comp had to move everything for them. The fridge and washing machine and dressers and beds and suitcases and everything a house has in it. It was super tiring haha. And they live on the second floor so that was fun.
The rest of the week we worked hard and found lots of new people! We have a baptism on the 22nd of December for a girl named Angi. A miracle happened with her! She broke her foot super bad like 3 weeks ago, but right before I came to this area, and she received a blessing for her foot and in one week it healed. She was supposed to have a cast on until February but now she already got it off. So now she can get baptized and she went to church for the first time this week!! We are super stoked! Navidad Blanca!
This week we have talked countless times about the atonement. Almost every lesson was a lesson about the atonement. It has strengthened my testimony of Jesus Christ so much. I know that he really did atone for our sins, and also EVERY other trial in our lives. He knows us perfectly and is ALWAYS there for us. I'm sure everyone knows these scriptures but Alma 7:11-13 explains it perfectly! Hope everyone can read it! Love you guys so much! Have an amazing week! LIGHT THE WORLD!!
Funny story:
This was totally a BIG misunderstanding so don't think I am a terrible missionary. We contacted this house and a girl who was like 17 answered the door. But she just popped her head out which Argentines do a lot. She was talking to my comp pretty quiet so I thought hey I'm gonna ask her if she wants a Light the World card. So I said "hey, can we give you this card?" And my comp grabbed it from my hand and said “we will just leave it in your mailbox” and we left. I was like dude why did you grab it from me and he said that she said she was naked and couldn't come out to talk to us and then it seemed like I tried to get her to come out and get the card hahah super awk but I promise i didn't hear her say that!!
